What's an "animation cel?"

An Animation Cel is what is used to create the anime show. It is usually a 9.0" X 10.0" piece of Acetate or Celluloid that the animator has painted the image of the scene and then each individual cel is used to create the moving image. Each animation cel that you see in this website was used in the actual creation of that particular anime show.

Did you steal these images from another site?

The "images" that you are viewing on this site are not images that have been scanned from an artbook or movie book or PP card or sticker, etc. Those websites are called "Image Galleries" or "Fan Sites." These images are scanned directly from the actual animation cel that I own. All "images" are cels that I physically own for collecting purposes.

Why do you request me to ask before taking an image? Who cares?

Well, I care, for one. These images took a long time to scan, crop, and then place onto the webpage. I don't own the art design, the particular creator does. But, I own the cel. In the past, I have had people "steal" my cel images and place them on their website either claiming that they owned the cel or even try and sell the cel!! All I'm asking is that you respect my time, money and energy in a request to use the image for your own personal use.

Do you have images without the URL stamp?

Unfortunately, no. As mentioned above, too many people on the Internet were stealing my cel images for their own gain. Not only is that illegal, but it's rude and inconsiderate. Due to the faults of others, the rest of the community must take the consequences.

Will you be my Pen Pal/Friend/Email Buddy?

As much as I would love to, I simply do not have the time. I am happy to answer questions or comments concerning my website, but I do not have the free time to establish an ongoing letter correspondence. This website and this collection is a hobby that is pursued in spare moments.

Will you bring Sailor Moon back to Television?

Sadly, I am not responsible for any marketing of Sailor Moon nor do I own the rights to the Sailor Moon series. I strongly suggest visiting "Save Our Sailors." This is a very informative website concerning bringing Sailor Moon back to Television, as well as toys, videos, DVD, etc. They often run campaigns/petitions for Sailor Moon purposes.

Where do you buy animation cels? How much do they cost?

I strongly suggest visiting my Links page - it offers a few places that I buy from and trust. Animation cel prices depends on the age of the series, how popular the series/character, whether the cel is from the opening/closing/attack/transformation sequence, etc. A cel can range from $5 to $5000 or more. There are also different kinds of cels. The cels you see on this website are actual Production cels. However, there are Limited Edition cels, Reproduction cels, Promotional cels, Fan Art cels, Seri-cels, etc.

When will you get more cels of _____ or How come you don't have any/or enough images of ________?

Cel Collecting is a Hobby. A Cel Collector collects cels that they only want to collect. ^_^ The cels you see on my site are characters and shows that I particularly like. If you don't see a lot of cels of a specific character, it's only because I'm not into that specific character and would rather spend my money on a character I do prefer. And not to be redundant, but if you're looking for just more images, then I strongly suggest visiting the Anipike and looking through their VAST collection of Image Galleries.

I'm selling my Sailor Moon collection, will come you buy cels from me?

If you're selling cels of characters I like, then, I will come see what you have. Click on the Contact Me link below and send me your URL. However, at this point in my collecting, I usually only buy high-end cels of very specific characters or scenes. If you're only selling Monsters of the Day cels, then it is 99.9% sure that I will not buy those. :)
